I was born about 30 years too late. I always wanted to be a 50's housewife like my mom was. I have hundreds of Woman's Day, Good Housekeeping and those kind of magazines from the 1950s and I loved to look at them. And every pink or turquoise appliance in the background of the kitchen. And the recipes, and the ladies cooking in their high heels, (ok, i don't do high heels but still, maybe I would have been skinny had I been born earlier!!) Things seemed so much easier then, nicer, warmer, sweeter, warm and fuzzier!! All that to say Look at my 50's Christmas girls!!

  1. Oh, yes, the fifties!!! Looks a lot like my mom's collection, too. Nice to see.

  2. Happy New Year Barb, thanks for the visit, I hope I get more created this coming year. I spent the last year getting organized, well somewhat and mainly learning techie computer skills. Just not of that generation so it has been slow but I'm getting there. I sold a couple of things not much to speak of but I got started late on the holiday stuff. All in good time as the saying goes. Hugs and love to you , Marilou Is that your collection of red girls? I'm drooling! I have a few and when I see them reasonable I pick them up. Even though I was a 40's/50's child we were too poor to have those so what we did have was a few things but my sis has them. Glad they are in the family though even if it is just 1 or 2, Wonderful display!
